Parenting Journey Family Support Program
Parenting Journey is a new program that offers free, in-home support to families of children aged 3 to 16 who are facing challenging times. The program is voluntary so families can choose to participate or withdraw at any time. Your Home Visitor may offer support in such areas as managing behavior and building relationships in the family, managing your budget or household, school attendance, moving through divorce, and much more. You and your visitor will decide how often you would like to meet and what aspects of your family life you would like support with. Your Home Visitor will help you identify your strengths and create a plan with you as a basis for moving toward change. All parents need support in their parenting role. If you would like to learn more about Parenting Journey, please call the Parenting Journey Home Visitor at 454-2036 for more information.
Healthy Beginnings Enhanced Home Visiting Program
This free program for families with babies from birth to 3 years is offered in partnership with Public Health Services. It is completely voluntary and your home visitor will visit you in your home or somewhere else that is safe and comfortable. Your home visitor can share information about how your child will grow and develop and help you to build confidence in the choices you make as a parent. For more information, please call the Centre at 454-9444 or Public Health Services at 481-5800.
